Banjo, Guitar and string Instrument Repairs
I have been working professionally in musical instrument repair and restoration for almost a decade and a half, working initially from a London workshop whilst doing repairs for music shops, as well as with Black guitars. For the last eight years I've worked from my workshop in Shropshire.
These days the majority of my time is spent building batches of banjos, though I still generally spend a certain amount of time every month doing repair or restoration work.
Whether your instrument isn't playing well, it's had a knock or it's suffered a more serious accident, I can assess the damage and give you an estimate for repair. Each job is unique, so please get in touch via the contact page for an estimate.
Appointments are by prior arrangement only, I do not have the new workshop address listed on the website, this is because its now at my home, which I don't particularly want listed on google maps, I'm located in South Shropshire between Ludlow and Bridgnorth.
Please bear in mind that prices quoted on structural restoration especially on old instruments are an estimate and can change depending on how the instrument responds to the work and other issues that can arise.

Courier Deliveries
I do take repairs sent in by courier, they must be sent in suitable packaging, If the packaging is not protective enough to ensure it arrives back safely I will have to make new packaging for which there will be a charge.
Ideally instruments should be shipped in a suitable hardcase with the strings de-tensioned extra padding inside the case to keep the instrument from moving then a cardboard box and padding around the case.
I use UPS for my own instruments, and will send your instrument back with them, the cost varies on how much the instrument is to be insured for and I will get a quote from them before you send the instrument.
